European Community action to protect the ozone layer
The overall objective of the EU's policy strategy in relation to the preservation of the ozone layer is to implement measures aiming at the phase-out of emissions of ozone-depleting substances (ODS) in the EU and worldwide. In the shorter term, the objective is to limit the expected peak in the destruction of the ozone layer.
